About Me

The name, LaJeanne Design, is taken from a combination of my first two names, Laurie Jeanne. My daughter says it sounds French. Okay, so be it. But I am not French, I am Finnish, by heritage.

I have always been involved in design of some sort. I was a graphic designer and as the way things sometimes go in this world, I chose to put that business aside and got in to designing jewelry, which is something I have wanted to do for a long time. So here I am, graphic designer turned jewelry designer. It seems like a good fit for me.

I live in a rural area, north of Los Angeles. I love the setting. I can sit a my work desk and look and the neighbor's horses and hear the other neighbor's goats and chickens.

I have so many ideas for jewelry I want to create, but there doesn't seem to be enough time for it. I am constantly working on projects, so keep checking the website for new items that I've completed.
